Anton villa on the verge of apponting new boss
Reports claim Aston Villa is about to appoint ex-Lyon boss Remi Garde as thier new manager on monday.
According to reports, he will be given a three and a half year contract and will watch Mondays trip to
Tottenham from the stands.
Bastia coach Reginald Ray will become Garde's assistant and the pair will take charge for the home fixture against Manchester City next Sunday.
Remi Garde, a former Lyon, Arsenal and Strasbourg player was Arsen Wengers first signing when he took up the Arsenal job. He also made six appearances for the french national team and retired from football at the age of 33.
Garde guided Lyon to league finishes of fourth, third and fifth during three seasons from 2011 before resigning in 2014 for "personal and family" reasons.
Garde's only major honour as a manager came in 2012, when he guided Lyon to the French Cup.
