German Football team arrive home safely

 
The Germany national football team who are the world champions were forced to remain in the dressing room of the stade de France overnight following the bombings and shootout that occurred yesterday in the French capital, Paris which left about 120 people dead.


Explosions could be heard during the friendly game with France before fans were told to gather on the pitch after the game had finished.

French police confirmed there were two suicide attacks and one bombing near the stadium.

And it was later revealed that the German side and staff stayed inside the dressing room inside the arena overnight while they awaited information on how to get to their team hotel.

They then decided to depart directly for Charles de Gaulle airport early on Saturday, escorted by police, and have now arrived in Germany.


France Football Federation president Noel Le Graet confirmed three people were killed and several more injured following an explosion.

"Three people have been killed and several injured after a bomb explosion in front of stadium door number J". Le Graet told TVInfosport+

President Francois Hollande was in attendance at the Stade de France and was evacuated from the stadium.

France will host next summer's European Championship and their national team is due to play England at the Wembley Stadium next Tuesday, although the FA have confirmed that the game could be cancelled.

Earlier in the day the German team had been evacuated from their Paris hotel following a bomb threat.
