Leicester city make Troy Deeney improved offer
Sky Sports anchor Jim White used his personal Twitter account on Saturday night to tweet out news about a new bid from Leicester City for Troy Deeney.
A little under two weeks ago, the reigning Premier League champs were reported to have tabled a 20 million pound bid for the Watford striker.
In what some considered a ballsy move at the time, Watford rejected the Leicester off out of hand.
It’s been argued that while 20 million pounds may seem like good money for Deeney, who would Watford buy as a replacement? Indeed, Deeney was one of the key reasons for the Hornet’s survival last term, which was worth more than 200 million pounds thanks to the new broadcasting deal.
Now, according to Jim White, Claudio Ranieri has returned with a 25 million pound offer for Deeney, and again Watford have said no.
