Sunderland replace Sam Allardyce with David Moyes.

Sunderland have moved to replace Sam Allardyce with former Everton and Manchester United manager David Moyes.

Moyes, whose last coaching role was in charge of Real Sociedad, has agreed a four-year-contract.

Allardyce this week agreed to become England manager on a two-year deal.

Speaking on the Sunderland web site, Moyes said he is made up to be in position at the Stadium of Light:

“‎I am delighted to have joined Sunderland. I am relishing the challenge and opportunity.

“I have taken over a great British club with great support and cannot wait to be back in the Premier League.”
