West Ham United have agreed a deal with Premier League rivals
West Bromwich Albion for forward Diafra Sakho, according to Sky Sports.
The 26-year old has long been linked with a move away from
East London after finding playing time limited under Slaven Bilic.
Both the Baggies and Sunderland have been touted as potential
landing spots for the Senegalese marksman after his relationship with the
Hammers broke down.
Sevilla and Hamburg were also understood to have cast keen
eyes over the former Metz man, though Tony Pulis is believed to hit a transfer
breakthrough.
He is understood to have commanded a fee of around £16m,
representing a monumental profit for the Irons.
They paid just £3.5m for his services in 2014 and saw him hit
the ground running on these shores, scoring in six consecutive games.
He had two years remaining on his deal at the Olympic Stadium
but is closing in a move to the Midlands
