The 31-year-old, who plays right-back for Arsenal, made her
England debut in 2004 and has since been capped 134 times.
Scott intends to give football one more year before reaching
a final decision, and hopes the tournament in Holland next summer will see her
land an elusive title in the international game.
"I'm making sure I leave no stone unturned and the only
thing that's missing from my trophy cabinet is that gold medal, so that's the
big aim over the next year," Scott said.
"Then I'll sit down and
evaluate and see what happens."
Scott has played at three previous European Championships and
three World Cups as well as the London 2012 Olympics, without yet being on the
trophy-winning side, despite landing a host of honours with club side Arsenal
Ladies.
England Women finished as Europe's leading team at the World
Cup last summer, beating Germany in the third-place play-off and have high
hopes for next year's finals after qualifying with two games to spare.
Scott sees a long-term future as a television anchor, and has
been working this season on the Premier League's international shows.
The Arsenal player added; "I don't just want to be a
pundit - I want to be presenting shows as well."
