It is said that Nasri is deemed surplus to requirements by
new Eastlands boss Pep Guardiola and has been placed on the club’s transfer
list.
Italian outlet Gazzetta Dello Sport report that Nasri
returned to pre-season training “slightly
overweight”
The French international who was brought to England by
Gunners manager Arsene Wenger has been plagued by injury recently, making just
13 appearances in all competitions last season.
The report states that former Barcelona boss Guardiola will
be willing to sell if any of the interested clubs can meet the £17m asking
price.
The former Marseille man joined Arsenal back in 2008 and
spent three years at The Emirates, making 125 appearances for the Gunners in
all competitions. The attacking midfielder chipped in 27 goals during his North
London stay.
Nasri subsequently earned a £25million move to Manchester City,
and despite excelling in the early part of his career on Eastlands, Nasri has
drifted down the pecking order.
