formed in 1992, no defending champion has ever lost 7 games out of the opening 12 of the next season. NEVER. Defeat against Stoke City at Britannia also becomes the first time in Jose Mourinho's managerial career that he has lost 3 league games on the spin. Nobody can explain this capitulation as no one saw it coming. Chelsea could be a staggering 17 points behind top spot if Man City and Arsenal pick up maximum points in their games today. Chelsea won the league with 4 games to go last season. Its insane to imagine how they went from being that good to being this bad. Chelsea are in a legit relegation fight, it isn't even funny anymore. The top 4 is officially over for them as they keep falling further and further behind with every passing week. Something needs to be done and done quickly. They have to turn their season around and soon.
