Manchester City are through to the round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League after a comprehensive victory over Sevilla at Ramos Sanchez Pizjuan in Seville yesterday. Raheem Sterling opened the scoring with a cool left footed finish before Fernandinho doubled the lead only just 3 mins
later after Bony brought out a good save from the keeper, Fernandinho just headed the rebound into an empty net. Sevilla grabbed one back thought Tremoulinas at the 25th min but Bony completed the victory by scoring from a Jesus Navas cross 9 mins before half time. The victory was very significant as English teams have performed below par so far in the competition but City are now through to the round of 16 with 2 games to spare.
