Gareth Bale tweets about Cristiano Ronaldo’s injury during Euro 2016 final





Cristiano Ronaldo was in tears in the Stade de France this evening and was forced off injured during the first half of tonight’s Euro 2016 final between Portugal and France.


Tackled hard by Dimitri Payet, the 31-year-old Real Madrid superstar twice came back on after receiving treatment but eventually collapsed on the pitch.

With the hopes of a nation on his shoulders, fans everywhere felt sympathy towards the Portuguese captain who was replaced by Ricardo Quaresma.

Knocked out by his teammate is the semi-final, Real Madrid teammate Gareth Bale told his followers on Twitter that it was “terrible” to see Ronaldo come off injured.

Cristiano Ronaldo was seen as Portugal’s best chance of beating hosts France tonight and his injury is a massive shame for football fans all over the world.
