According to reports, Napoli turned Mario Balotelli down, but Ajax could
still pick him up.
Mario Balotelli is struggling to find teams willing to bet on
him, after the last two years saw his career spiral downwards.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Mino Raiola, the player's
agent, phoned Napoli and checked on their interest.
The initial answer by president Aurelio De Laurentiis was
negative, although Coach Maurizio Sarri's opinion still has to be weighed in.
Raiola also had some contacts with Ajax, where things may
actually work out. If the Dutch club makes it past the play-offs and qualifies
for next year's Champions League, then Balotelli might just join them.
Pescara are also believed to have shown an interest in
picking up Super Mario, but the striker turned down.
