Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane believes Paris
Saint-Germain are an “ideal fit” for forward Jese Rodriguez as he edges closer
to a €25 million (£21m) move.
The 23-year-old has been heavily linked with a move away from
the Santiago Bernabeu for some time, but this summer the routine speculation
has picked up.
Zidane confirmed last week that Jese was indeed in talks with
Ligue 1 champions PSG ahead of a switch this summer.
Jese, who has just one year remaining on his deal, has
reportedly secured a €25 million move to the Parc des Princes, which should be
made official soon.
However, it certainly seems as though the move will
definitely go ahead, with Zidane all but confirming that the academy graduate
will be moving to his boss’ home country.
“It’s still not finished, but it’s on the way”
“Is PSG an ideal fit for him? I think so. He’s going to
score a lot of goals there, Zidane told
reporters on Tuesday.
“I hope it goes well for him there, but Madrid will always be
his home.”
