Everton are reportedly set to sign Swansea City defender
Ashley Williams.
According to The Guardian, the Toffees have agreed a £10
million deal for the 31-year-old – who still has two years left on his deal at
the Liberty Stadium and had been linked with Arsenal earlier this summer.
Everton are yet to sign an outfield player this summer, with
goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg the only arrival at Goodison Park.
Current centre-back John Stones has been strongly linked with a move to
Manchester City, and the club only have Phil Jagielka and Ramiro Funes Mori as
other senior players in the position.
